#DreamingToDo

Recently I've been working so much I haven't had time to do anything for myself! My life has been a constant cycle of working, sleeping and trying to squeeze in precious time with the boy! By that I mean him making me tea whilst I nap. I Thought to keep me motivated I would write a "To Do List" as such, not your regular, pick up children from school list but more of a list of things I want to have done by the end of the year. This way I have things to plan and things to look forward to as well. #DreamingToDo

1. Complete a Man Vs Food challenge, even if it is at my local binger!
2. Go to the Enchanted Village lodges at Alton Towers
3. MOVE OUT! Me and the fella already have this in the works already, check!
4. Summer holiday, I need a mojito and a tan ASAP...
5. Keep my nails chip-free for a week, It's the impossible I know!!!
6. Do a half marathon
7. Go Camping, proper camping not in my back garden or down the road at the local park!
8. Earn a promotion...pretty please?!
9. Do a charity event and raise money
10. Buy my own car

Putting it down in writing makes it nice and easy for me to follow and I'm basically committed now so you're all my witnesses and if I fail miserably this is written permission to laugh in my face! If that's not reason enough I've stuck up a copy on my bedroom wall as a constant reminder that I'm being a lazy ass...

If anyone has or wants to make a list of things they want to achieve either in the next year, month or week I really suggest jotting it down...It's not enough to make a memo in your mind, trust me I've tried!

Hauling Out

So I recently decided to punish my boyfriend by dragging him kicking and screaming around the Trafford Centre, I think it was his own personal version of hell but I had a good day and I treated him to a cookie...Jeez what else does he want? To his dismay I went in almost every single shop and managed to rack up a bill I'll regret come the end of the month when I'm living in poverty. First up I'd like to apoligise for the sh*t picture, it's my first "HAUL" and clearly I have not mastered the group clothing shit yet, least my honest ey!

First up was the plain white Tee because lets face it, who doesn't have enough of these, I love t-shirt for just throwing on with a pair of jeans or shorts in summer, this was from Topshop and around £17.00!

Below the T-shirt is the black tank top, it is a chiffon material and really easy to wear, you can't see in this picture but at the the sides it has cut outs which look really pretty on and it is so easy to throw on for an effortless look. I picked this up from New Look for £14.00 (or there about)

The next up is the burnt orange Tee from Warehouse, again...love T-shirts for everyday wear and this colour adds that injection of colour you can see I so desperately need in my wardrobe...I wouldn't normally buy a t-shirt for £22 but it fits so beautifully and I managed to get 20% student discount which was a god send!

Moving on, my favourite buy for the day was these pants from Dorothy Perkins, I'd wear them with the black top for a more fancy event or just the white Tee for a casual look, I absolutely love this pants and they were a bargain around £25.00! I've already planned several occasions to wear these pants and I can't bloody wait!

The shoes I'd wear with the pants if I was just wearing them to nip out in the day (shut up about the pants) but the shoes were a purchase from Office and they are Office own brand, I actually saw a pair of these in Dior, I beleieve for almost £150.00, don't quote me on that but I just couldn't bare the thought of typing in my pin and losing that much money so when I stumbled across these I thought I'd get the best of both worlds! I do love these shoes though and for £20.00 I think they are a complete bargain!

On the right hand side of the photo is the Miss Selfridge crop top, I cannot for the life of me remember the price of this but it's a chiffon material crop top with almost layer crossing over, I think this would look nice with anything high waisted but I had in mind like a midi skirt! I think it would so beautiful and classic.

Below is a Cotton tee shirt with a chiffon edge around the bottom which just floats amazingly and I think this would look lovely in summer as something to just throw on.

Finally, yes its coming to an end don't worry yourself...Is this bag from Dorothy Perkins, It was in the sale for £15.00! Sometimes my big bag is just way to big to be carrying around so I bought this for them says to make life a bit easier for myself!

And that's it as well as a few make-up products that I've already tried and tested but I thought I'd stick to clothes in this blog. Hope you all enjoyed my first haul blog :D

Top 5 Fridays

MAC is renowned for it's cosmetics which is used by pretty much everyone and anyone and I'm a complete sucker for a good MAC lipstick so as an introduction to my top 5 Fridays and yes...It is Saturday but I wrote it on Friday so technically, It's still valid.
Yes, as an introduction to my Top 5 Fridays I thought I'd start with a bang and I bring to you my top 5 MAC lipsticks, in no particular order I may add, narrowing down to 5 was hard enough! Let alone picking an order...

I'm loving So Chaud at the minute, I mentioned it in more detail in my monthly favourites here so I won't bore you with more of the same rambling but in short, It's a Coral/Red lippy and I just can't seem to get enough, and I love a good matte lip product too!

Next up is Empowered, It's a satin finish and it works really well my skin tone! It's a very neutral colour and I can just throw it on with my everyday make-up...There has been a lot of problems around this colour though, most people saying it doesn't match their skin or looks a bit funny as they have a warmer skin tone than me so I'd suggest trying this on before buying for sure! I'm not even 100% MAC stock it any more come to think of it?

Sin was my ultimate autumn colour and now coming into spring it's making me pretty sad that I can't rock this dark plum colour everyday, I will be keeping this safe for next time though and I may still try and slick on a layer for a night out everyday now and then! God loves a trier right? And it matte...J'adore.

Another colour I find myself reaching for everyday is Honey Love, this is a huge favourite amongst bloggers and vloggers and I can see why! It suits pretty much everyone and has such a lovely colour to it that it sits well with all skin tones.

Last but not least Shy girl, I'll hold my hands up and say I did succumb to peer pressure and buy this one because pretty much everyone else did but it has become a night out lippy for me, It looks beaut with a smoky eye and I must say peer pressure did me good on this one, not so much on 3/4 length jeans I purchased in year 9...cringe!!!

Let me know your favourite lipsticks from MAC and if you think I should carry on with my Top 5 Fridays! I need some new inspo for lipsticks so I little helping hand wouldn't go a miss, sharing is caring right?
See you Soon

April Favourites

I've never done a monthly favourites blog before and they are one of my best blogs to stalk, I love to find out about new products or products I never bothered to invest in...but mainly because I'm a nosy cow like!
First up is my newest purchase, it's the NARS foreplay, cheek palette! It contains a matte coral and a matte pink blush along with a gold highlighter and the ever famous Orgasm blush! As a lifelong fan of NARS sin blush I was a little apprehensive when it came to trying something new cause let's face it, there cannot possibly be anything better! However, I'll bite my words and admit that Orgasm is a beauty blush, perfect for summertime makeup! This palette is essentially brilliant for summer makeup in fact, the gold highlight would look just brill with a Spanish tan and highlighted hair! And the fact it has a few blushes and a highlighter makes it perfect for travelling!

Next up, it's the combination of Redd lipstick liner and So Chaud in matte! Both from MAC cosmetics, the lipstick is a red with coral undertones, wearing the Redd liner makes it look so sleek and classy! I did buy a coral/orange lip liner to go with So Chaud, the beauty of this lipstick is you can wear it with a red liner for the classic look or partner it with an orange liner for a coral feel!

I'm not one for spider lashes or sticking a pair of falsies on every morn, ain't nobody got time fo' that! I bought Avon Big and Daring Volume Mascara a month back and it's become a staple, it makes my lashes look like fake ones, and let's face it...that's the dream right?

Last but not least and yes I'm fully aware I'm late to the party on this one but better late than never, something I repeatedly tell my boyfriend when I'm finished getting ready! It's the Benefit Watts Up highlighter, I got this out of the Bronze of Champions set but j'adore!

Anyone else loving anything this month?
Let me know!

Healthy Chocolate Milkshake

I've been on a health kick now for over a couple of months I think, maybe less and I'm already seeing huge results. Not only have a managed to shed a stone, my skin, hair and health is tons better than I ever expected it to be. I'm really pissed I didn't do it sooner to be honest with you but what's done is done ey! One thing I will say is that my cravings have reduced massively, I don't crave crisps, or pizza or anything greasy any more, apart from the occasional burger on cheat day that is...I'm weak I know! The thing that hasn't disappeared though is my craving for chocolate, I'm not talking like all day everyday but when a certain time of month creeps in I can't help but think about those little bars of milky goodness.

I decided to find a way to curve this but satisfy my need at the same time (good job I didn't start to post with that sentence, it could be a completely different blog!) I made a chocolate milkshake, I say "a milkshake" It was about 8 or 12 before finding one I adored but it took me so damn long I thought I'd save some people the hassle and share my secret

Ingredients

1 Tbsp Maca Powder
1 Tbsp Cacao powder
1 Tsp Sweetener
2 cups of Almond milk
6-8 ice cubes

Method

There isn't a huge method to my madness other than adding it all to a blender and mixing it but the ingredients are all healthy, I use sweetener over sugar and the milk is dependant on how milky you like milkshake but I find this works well for me.

Hope this helps, anyone else got any good milkshake recipes?
